What's in the bottle

How the tools work

Every tool is a small web app that runs on your device. Paste JSON, drop an SVG, or tweak a gradient and the work happens right there in the page. There is nothing to install, no account to create, and DevBottle sets no cookies.

Two tools need the network by design: the API Tester sends the request you build, and the Meta Tag Preview fetches the page you want to inspect. The privacy page explains exactly what goes where.

How we choose what to build

Each tool starts as a task we kept doing by hand: cleaning up HTML pasted from a CMS, turning pixel values from a design file into rem, checking whether a color pair is readable. If a task comes up again and again, and a focused tool can make it faster, it earns a place in the bottle.

We keep each tool narrow on purpose. It should open instantly, work without a manual, and give you output you can copy straight into your project. Suggestions shape the list too, so tell us what you'd like to see.

Recently added

DevBottle launched with a slug generator and an HTML cleaner and has grown a few tools at a time since. The latest additions:

Who writes the guides

The blog is written under the pen name Vibeus Moonscript. Each guide explains a concept developers run into (JSON parse errors, regex patterns, px versus rem, color contrast) and links to the tool that helps with it.
